Meet Dr Andrea Eliastam And Dr Nancy Ordakji

Passionate Leaders in Mobile Eye And Dental Care

Dr Andrea Eliastam is a dedicated Behavioural Optometrist with a mission to make eye and dental care accessible to all Australians.

Originally from South Africa, Andrea pursued her optometry studies before furthering her education at the University of London, where she worked in nursing homes across England. She later emigrated to Sydney, where she completed postgraduate studies in Behavioural Optometry – a field that deepened her passion for understanding how vision affects learning, emotional wellbeing, and social interactions.

After years in corporate optometry, a personal health crisis made Andrea reevaluate her career. She recognised the need to bring eye care beyond traditional clinic walls and launched mobile optometry services in aged care facilities, schools and community centres.

Her journey took an exciting turn when she met Dr Nancy Ordakji, a like-minded professional with the same drive to create change.

With over 15 years of experience, Nancy is a compassionate optometrist dedicated to bridging the gap in eye health accessibility. After earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of New South Wales, she has spent her career ensuring that high-quality vision care reaches those who need it most.

Nancy is deeply involved in community outreach programs, providing eye exams for children, volunteering with vision education initiatives and advocating for removing barriers to essential eye care. She believes that good vision is a right, not a privilege, and works tirelessly to enhance the quality of life for people of all ages.

Together, Andrea and Nancy have created a service that brings eye and dental care directly to those who need it most—from aged care facilities to schools and communities in low socio-economic areas. Their passion and commitment to accessible, high-quality health care continue to change lives, one health check at a time.
